Mans terminal elite have won, fusing their consciousness and desires with the synth network known as the H.I.V.E. They have obliterated most of organic life and enslaved the rest. Small pockets of Humanity’s descendants fight to exist as free souls in the wreckage of our world, salvaging whatever they can to survive.
Cyborgs known as the Mecha Will Rise tribe hunt and kill whomever they find, all in exchange for cybernetic upgrades from their Mecha overlords.
Through ash and rubble the remnants of Humanity uncover memories from our distant lost civilization, most factions of survivors unearth only bits and pieces of information and have created their beliefs and their religions in what we consider today as mere popular culture -- and through the inner cores of fiction they find hope in the recurring concepts of love, rebellion and freedom, from which champions have emerged.
Now, in the despair of this future, one of these warriors, tempered by metal and fire, has the power to change the tides of war. He appears to be human, but no on has ever seen his face. Those he has protected swear he is Faster than the Devil.
Leading the charge for Humanity’s survival is TEQ63 and his Death Squad. A mysterious and enigmatic figure, nobody knows who, or what, is truly behind the helmet. Legend has it that TEQ63 was able to infiltrate the machines and successfully steal their technology for himself. He even has a loyal fully Mecha Canine at his side named SRCH.
Armed with his balisword, superior strength, reflexes, and agility, TEQ63 may just be the perfect combination of Metal and Flesh to finally set Humanity free.
TEQ63's first Lieutenant is the ruthless messenger of Akira's unearthed doctrines detailing insurrection and vengeance. He is known only as... the Ghost of Kurosawa.
During the absence of TEQ63, and the skirmishes against H.I.V.E's Sentry War Machines, GoK dawned blood red and became the ace leader of the "Bulletpunk Death Squad." It was during this time he was known as the "Red Baron."
GoK is such a fierce soldier he has even inspired an army in the deep of the woodlands, one of the last safe havens left on Earth. These warriors call themselves the 43 Locusts, and they have designed their armours to the same fashion as GoK's, and regard the warrior as a deity.
At thirteen and in critical condition, Mariko was saved by TEQ63 after her tribe was obliterated by the Machines.
Safely in the care of another town, she received cyber prosthetics to survive. Enflamed by war she vowed to serve TEQ63 when fully grown, out of gratefulness, admiration, and the chance to enact vengeance for her slaughtered loved ones. She would spend her adolescence training for her chance, becoming an accomplished swordsman and gun specialist.
Upon adulthood, and already the most deadly warrior of her tribe, she would upgrade her cybernetic parts even further. This new level of lethality would prove to be a potent match for the machines.
In the heat of war, Mariko would discover TEQ63 on the battlefield, just as she remembered him. As fate would have it, she would even end up saving him during battle, and be recruited into the Bulletpunk Death Squad. It was only then that she revealed her identity to her new brothers in arms.
After all she had been through, Mariko developed feelings for TEQ63, but he is reluctant to reciprocate them.
On the battlefield she is a graceful and deadly warrior, often accompanied by a little Mecha Kitty named Necco at her side.
The false saviour.
Summoned by the Robotic H.I.V.E. through a dimensional breach, Ravager is the fully cyberized incarnation of TEQ63 from another timeline.
Ravager's quest is to find and kill TEQ63 and his team of rebel soldiers in secret, taking over his identity and luring the survivors of humanity into their ultimate demise.
